VIOLA PINEIDER 2025
A tangle of reclaimed wood that finds its balance through the force of its own twists alone. The form was not imposed from the outset, but emerged by shifting and combining the
elements until each found a way to balance itself with the others. The development of the
work consisted of accommodating and calibrating these tensions, following the directions
suggested by the material itself.
The result is a structure that behaves like a spring. It supports itself while simultaneously revealing its own fragility, resting on the ground as if afraid of its own weight. The form remains suspended at a critical juncture, constantly on the verge of collapsing or expanding. The work presents itself as an organism in constant negotiation between tension, adaptation, and yielding.
This open condition is part of the work. The piece has found its language, not yet its scale. It is a structure that can grow toward a space or an occasion, taking final form in dialogue with the place that receives it.
