Viola Pineider sets hand-shaped wooden bodies inside walls already worn by time and neglect. They grow where they should not, rooted in the split, and reach outward, out of place.They crowd the passage and draw the eye. They tear the fabric of the street, unforeseen presences within the regularity of the everyday landscape.The intervention chooses the wounds of the wall, the joints and structural faults across the urban space, depositing clusters of foreign bodies. A way of inhabiting the city by carving out a place that was never meant to be there.
