Extension
Extension comes from a work on adornment, from the form made to encircle the body. Here that same form leaves the scale of the body and extends until it crosses an entire room.
The links of reclaimed wood, hand-carved, keep an irregular profile and join one another without an imposed order. They swing between ceiling and wall, stretch across the floor, and thanks to the hooks and clasps at their ends they recompose into ever-new combinations. The work is never fixed: it changes with the place that hosts it.
What runs through all of Pineider's research takes the form of a bond. The adornment that once belonged to the figure draws together the inner space of the body and the outer one in which we are immersed.
